Integrating building and context information for automated zoning code checking: a review

چکیده
Interoperability approaches have attracted much attention in the AEC/FM industry with increased interest Building Information Modeling (BIM) studies since 2000’s. Especially, integration of BIM GIS is crucial for areas, which need detailed information on buildings and their surroundings. Automated code compliance checking against zoning codes an area that requires both data building design data. In ideal automated process, should be retrieved from responsible authority, regarding neighborhood project located directly local municipality’s GIS, supplied by designer as a file. The process able to work combination generate report. Although recent BIM-GIS efforts been successful some context are limited, interoperability problem this field still needs addressed. This paper intends (1) provide critical review analysis current permit processes, (2) present opportunities implementation integrating might bring domain (3) identify promising future efforts.

Making Automated Building Code Checking A Reality
Currently, design and construction documents submitted to the governing body for permitting are checked manually against a continuously changing and increasingly complex set of building codes. The complexity and changing nature of codes leads to delays in both the design and construction processes. The designer must assess which codes are applicable to a given project as well as sort through po...
متن کاملFramework for Automated Code Smell Correction in a BrownVeld Context
Developing code over a long period of time, in a heterogeneous team or under time pressure can lead to a lingering decay in readability, maintainability and thus reusability of software source code. In the past decades several approaches have been developed that tackle automatic detection of such code Waws, yet neglecting the automated correction as an essential and integrated step in the refac...
متن کاملDeveloping the Automated Zoning Procedure to Reconcile Incompatible Zoning Systems
This paper concerns the problem of matching incompatible zonal geographies, for example in the context of comparing census outputs over time. The automated zoning procedure (AZP) proposed by Openshaw (1977) is reviewed, and a population stress statistic proposed which may be used in an AZP algorithm in order to maximise the match between two zonal geographies. An implementation of this approach...
متن کاملExtending the automated zoning procedure to reconcile incompatible zoning systems
This paper concerns the problem of matching incompatible zonal geographies, for example in the context of comparing census outputs over time. The automated zoning procedure (AZP) proposed by Openshaw (1977) is reviewed and extended to permit its application to the intersection of two zonal systems. A population stress statistic is proposed which may be used in the extended AZP algorithm in orde...
متن کاملIntegrating LTL Model Checking with Automated Theorem Proving
Theorem proving is a general-purpose veriication technique that typically needs to be guided by human insight whereas model checking works in the more constrained domain of essentially nite-state systems but is largely automatic. There are several advantages to integrating the two techniques since theorem proving can be used to compose proofs where individual steps or lemmas have been veriied u...
